Many Vancouverites don’t know the difference, however, and refer to the region between Surrey and Abbotsford simply as “Langley” (which is what we also generally do for the purposes of this website). The two communities, when combined, have a population of about 145,000.
Langley is well known for its distinctive retail offerings and eateries, while the surrounding area has become a magnet for high-end luxury brands and big-box retail.
